Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is an American actress, singer as well as a former model. Her most famous work is the main character in the 1984 Prince Purple Rain film and lead vocalist in the girl group Apollonia 6 Apollonia was christened as an actress and female singer by Prince. In the '80s Apollonia was one of several other performers who gained from Prince. In 1984, the actress was a part of the main lady in Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period, she changed her name.) Her replacement was Vanity from the female trio Vanity 6 which starred in the film alongside Apollonia 6 under their name. Sex Shooter was not a huge success for the trio, however she made a greater influence as Prince's duet partner with Take Me with You on the soundtrack. The relationship between Kotero and Prince was ended after the two had an argument over the direction she was taking in her career. Apollonia 6, the group that she belonged to was broke up. After appearing in minor films (and reportedly refusing to be a part in her role in the Purple Rain film Under the Cherry Moon), she was a part of the 1985-86 nighttime drama Falcon Crest. Apollonia was finally able to release her debut album in 1988, but the fairly pedestrian set of songs that incorporated dance/R&B did not make much impression on people who buy music and it soon disappeared off the shelves. Apollonia remained in the spotlight (if somewhat under the radar) in the role of actress throughout the decade that followed, with a few television roles and minor films and even issued videos for exercises. Apollonia recorded a bilingual album called Stay with me. When she returned to school she earned a bachelor's degree in filmmaking. Then she established her own business. Apollonia is a multi-talented woman. Apollonia is an actress also model and a former performer. She was in 1984 when she was recognized for her part as a singer in Purple Rain. Alongside the film, she has been in numerous TV shows and film projects like Black Magic Woman or The Divorce Ceremony. Kotero debuted her career as a model. Kotero is also an entrepreneur who founded Kotero Entertainment which is a multi-media entertainment firm.
