Jana Kramer is a country performer, singer and songwriter that made her name known in the world of television after she was chosen to play Alex on One Tree Hill for the final three seasons. Her first few releases as a singer-songwriter included in episodes of the show that helped her debut album, titled "Eponymous," into the Top 20 in the Billboard 200. Thirty One by 2015 was the sequel and reached number Ten. The last decade saw she appeared as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars as also in television movies as well as several TV shows. There were also some singles which did not appear on albums. In 2021, her self-doubting album Voices came out. Jana Rae Kramer was born and was raised within Rochester Hills Michigan. She grew up listening to country music, and eventually went on to pursue a career in recording. However, she first made an acting debut when she was young teenager in 2002's independent horror movie Dead/Undead. After a few guest appearances in All My Children or CSI: NY, Kramer landed Noelle Davenport's role as a regular in NBC Friday Night Lights in the show's 2nd season 2007-2008. Kramer then appeared in the role of Portia ranson on 90210 between 2008 and 2009, and as Brooke Manning in Entourage in 2009. Kramer was added to the cast of CW One Tree Hill in 2009, playing Alex Dupre. she stayed up until the finale in 2012, which was half way in. Jana Kramer Kramer, during her stint in One Tree Hill signed with Elektra Records. She debuted the contemporary song "I Won't Give Up in a 2011 One Tree Hill episode. It later appeared in Jana Kramer, her debut album that debuted in the year 2012. It landed in the Top Five of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Kramer remained focused on her music career without quitting acting, and was a part of films that drew her followers like Heart of the Country 2013 and Country Crush 2016. Kramer's second album Thirty One, was released by Warner Music Nashville by Kramer in October of 2015. With help from the Top Five country hit I Got the Boy as well as the duet she did together with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith it was even more successful, achieving number 3 on the national album chart, and tenth in the Billboard 200. Beginning in September 2016 her two month stint on 23rd season of Dancing with the Stars ended with her finishing fourth. That same year, the song Feels Like Christmas with Straight No Chaser became an enormous adult contemporary success.
