Rodrigo Alves was born to the parents of a Brazilian mom and the British father on July 30, 1983 . She was born in Sao Paulo. Roserval Alves (her father) is from Portugal, and came to Brazil in 1944. They started with farming, but they expanded into shopping malls and retail. At the age of five, she was when her grandfather gave her Barbie dolls. Even though Alves was born male, at birth, but from "the age of three to four, five and six" she perceived herself to be female. She had dolls, and was cross-dressed. [6][7] Alves believes that it is not appropriate to identify people according to their gender. 8] She was shy as a child and was also bullied. When she was a teenager, Alves had a hormone problem, caused by excess estrogen that caused the breasts to expand; Her other physical characteristics were considered a target by bullies. Alves was born to an affluent family who own a number of stores of groceries in Brazil. They have had a good time being wealthy over the years and yet, they do not make any income from the shops. Alves was 18 when she moved to London where she studied publicity in the London College of Communication. [3][4] She also has money through an inheritance she received from her maternal grandparents.
